“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord …

Don’t you just love the fact that God is always planning and executing His plans through generations, time after time. The bible tells us this, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11. He is the perfect planner and the great decision maker. I love how we have days and nights in order, nature seems to go on a structured and organized routine. Things don’t just happen. They happen at a given right moment. A day is followed by night, a winter is followed by spring. A child is born, people get older and our days are numbered.

I love the notion of planning and following through a plan a lot. I’m not the best at planning and following through my plans. But when I see a person define a goal, and set the right time to accomplish it and follow through, I really get inspired. Athletes inspire me, they are disciplined. They set a goal and they execute their plans and measure their progress. I know a marathon runner who once said, “Only the disciplined are free in life. The undisciplined are slave to their moods and their passions.” This quote always challenges me. Because I am a person who finds it hard to accomplish things when my will power is required. I have seen that instead of setting goal and following it, I would slip and find myself in the other corner.

Thank God that we have a creator who is led by principles. This is a huge thing. As a person who loves Math and also studying formulas and solving equations, I love the fact that God has set a specific rules and procedures by which He leads His people. In Math, if you know how to solve a set of equations and you know the system, the only difference with the similar questions, is just a number change, not a principle change. That means if you understand a topic, you can solve any problem in that topic since you are well aware of the principles. God teaches us His principles and He glorifies us by working the problems of life through His Spirit. That my friends, is huge.

I love the fact that God is rich in mercy and also He is just and righteous. I say this because, He accomplished the redemption of our souls through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. He gave us His Son as a ransom for our sins. Isn’t that amazing? There is a bible verse in the book of Romans which I really love, it says, “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This is mind-blowing. Because It tells me that in order to be saved, I only need to believe in Jesus Christ. We are saved by GRACE through Faith and this is the gift of God. This is literally what everyone needs to hear. Yes, it is good to strive to follow the commandments. But this is beyond any commandment. When God sees you, He sees Jesus in you and your debts are all paid. Halelujah!!!

Next time you find yourself discouraged, or losing hope, remember Jesus died for you. Not just for Christians only but for everyone in the world. You just have to welcome Him into your life. He is a chain breaker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness. You probably tried different things to satisfy your soul in the past. But now, I want you to try Jesus. Jesus is real. Pray with me, “Heavenly Father, come into my life. I want to taste the real joy and satisfaction that You only give. I want to be yours. Change my life and give me your Holy Spirit.” In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
